Sashiko INTRODUCTION course 2026 including beginner's lesson

Sashiko INTRODUCTION course 2026 including beginner's lesson

By Atelier Sashiko Belgium
ENKIDU asbl

Description

In recent years, it has become easier to obtain ready-made materials for sashiko, such as fabric with pre-printed patterns and plastic templates. However, this solution makes it difficult to do sashiko stitches on the fabric or material of your choice, in the size and the pattern you want.

The goal of these courses is that you will eventually be able to sashiko design and stitch freely, in any position, with any motif, in any size and realise your sashiko design exactly as you imagined it.

Enjoy a moment of sashiko with matcha or Japanese tea from Kyoto!

Learning objectives
- Become familiar with sashiko stitching
- Understand straight and right-angled sashiko patterns
